5 Reasons to Feed Your Pets Raw Meat

Carnivorous Nature

Dogs and cats are inherently carnivores, as evidenced by their anatomy and digestive systems. With a short digestive tract, fixed lower jaw, and sharp canine teeth designed for grabbing and tearing, they are built to thrive on a meat-based diet.

DNA Similarity

Studies show that dogs share 99% of their DNA with wolves, and domestic cats share 95.6% of their DNA with tigers. This genetic closeness emphasizes their carnivorous dietary requirements, mirroring those of their wild counterparts.

Incompatibility with Plant Matter

Dogs lack the enzymes to digest plant matter efficiently. While they may consume fruits and vegetables, their digestive systems struggle to process them effectively. Commercial pet foods often contain grains and carbohydrates as fillers, which can lead to digestive issues and nutrient deficiencies.

Toxic Fillers in Commercial Food

Many commercial pet foods use low-quality meat by-products and fillers like grains and carbohydrates. These ingredients, coupled with a lack of natural nutrients, can result in health problems such as yeast infections, ear infections, skin irritations, and digestive issues.

Nutritional Deficiencies

Commercial pet foods may claim high protein content, but the sources are often low-quality and supplemented with harmful ingredients. This leads to a lack of essential nutrients, causing various health issues such as joint problems, arthritis, vitamin deficiencies, and even cancer. Opting for raw meat provides pets with the biologically appropriate nutrition they need for optimal health and well-being.
